Overview

Our island home

Kea is the Greek Island you've been dreaming of. It's the most secret of the Cyclades, just one hour ferry from Athens. Kea Retreat is the first boutique hotel dedicated to yoga and meditation, a sanctuary of relaxation with a bohemian ambience; this haven of peace is the ideal place to celebrate nature, well-being and life. The Aegean sea is met rugged, sun-drenched outcrops of rock, framing hidden rocky coves, perfect for an afternoon dip. and then of course there's that stunning white-washed Cycladic architecture.

Set in the Aegean Sea, the Cyclades are a group of the most well-known Greek Islands (including Mykonos and Santorini) and they're well-known for a reason. Pristine water, stunning architecture, fabulous food, and of course that unparalleled Greek lifestyle. But those more famous islands, like Santorini, have evolved into cruise-liner destinations and Instagram-versions of themselves.

Kea is a secret of the Cyclades, a sanctuary. There's no airport on the island, and the most fun way to get from one side of the island to another is to hop on a colorful local ferry/taxi boat, playing traditional Greek music… it's a thing! Here it's all about the slow tempo of the Mediterranean lifestyle: hidden beaches, and long lunches at seaside family-run tavernas.

Elegantly Renovated Ancient Farmhouses

At Kea Retreat, every detail has been carefully thought out to give the rooms a unique character. Only six suites are available, for an even more intimate experience.

Accommodation is in Katikies, traditional Greek stone farmhouses dating back over a hundred years. With the utmost respect for the environment, these tastefully restored cocoons blend into the rocky hillside habitat and overlook an infinite view of the Aegean Sea.

These traditional, upscale cottages all feature private terraces with comfortable outdoor seating areas. The whitewashed interiors feature minimalist furnishings, wood tones, country decor and pleasant natural light.

Slow Living

Located in the bay of Psathi, Kea Retreat is sheltered in a rocky mountain range, facing the crystal-clear Aegean Sea. It’s a serene, intimate place, where you can live to the rhythm of nature between vineyards and olive groves, turquoise sea and cliffs. Inspired by a love of Greek culture, the family-run establishment celebrates nature, food and well-being.

Our property is 2 minutes on foot from the sea. It's late summer, so we're expecting sunshine during the day, with cooler evenings. There's a sandy beach, a nudist area, a cliff-jumping spot… something for everyone! During the day, little boats serve as water taxis and can take you to other parts of the island. We'll also hop on a boat one day! Boat day is included!

Food Philosophy

We believe that a nourishing meal and a delicious feast don’t need to be exclusive of one another.

Our Kea nutrition is a carefully curated blend of island tastes and vegetarian diet catered by our food experts. The team uses the freshest daily produce from Kea and the nearby islands to bring each meal to life.

Our aim is to offer not only a yogic food experience to our retreaters but also a real taste of Greek culture and community that transcends every gathering and food sharing.

Once you confirm your booking, we’ll work with you in terms of meal plan, dietary restrictions, and timing. We’re comfortable with accommodating dietary restrictions such as gluten free and vegan.
